Firstly Aurora Sober Living provides gender-based affordable, beautifully furnished clean homes. In addition to being fully structured, strict alcohol and drug-free environments that offer a positive place for adult peer group recovery support.

Secondly Aurora Sober Living promotes individual recovery by offering a solid environment that allows our residents to develop individual recovery programs. In addition to becoming self-supporting not only during their stay with us, but to help sustain sobriety after they move on as well.

What we offer

Aurora Sober Living is for adults struggling with alcohol and/or substance abuse. Furthermore, these services are for those serious about their recovery and seek additional support and safety that a structured sober living community offers.

This has been shown to be a key support for making a successful reintegration to independent living. In addition clients participate in community-related sober activities while working, volunteering, or continuing their education.

Aurora Sober Living is a 12 step based program with heavy accountability. In addition we provide recovery housing for those who are serious about their sobriety and staying on a sober path after a completed inpatient treatment program or minimum detox.

Furthermore we offer a well-structured program where our residents must meet a healthy list of requirements. In addition they are expected to follow strict house rules and program requirements such as attributing positive behaviors, participating in the fellowship within and outside of Sobriety 1st.

12 Step Program

Those requirements include, but are not limited to, engaging in a mandatory 12 step program of their choice such as AA, CA, NA, CMA or HA daily for a minimum of 90 days and acquiring a 12 step sponsor.

Other requirements include passing random drug and alcohol screenings on a frequent basis including entry drug and alcohol testing, curfews and chores. In addition to two mandatory house/program meetings per week, and working, volunteering or attending school at least 30 hours per week.
