- Remain substance-free with regular UA/BA testing

Employment is not required during Phase One—the focus is fully on recovery and building a foundation first.
A Scholarship-Based Start
Phase One is scholarship-supported through Aurora Sober Living, allowing residents to focus fully on recovery without the immediate pressure of rent.
This phase typically lasts up to 60 days, with progress reviews along the way.
Transition to Phase Two
Once residents build stability, begin working, and demonstrate consistency, they transition into Phase Two sober living, where they continue their recovery with more independence while maintaining accountability.
Why We Call It Anchor House
We call it Anchor House because that’s exactly what this phase is meant to be—an anchor in the middle of the storm.
Early recovery can feel overwhelming, uncertain, and unsteady. Anchor House is designed to give men something solid to hold onto. It’s a place to slow down, get grounded, and rebuild from the inside out.
An anchor doesn’t move when the waves hit—it holds steady.
That’s what this home represents. Structure. Stability. Accountability.
Before moving forward, you have to get grounded first.
Anchor House is where that foundation begins.
Resident Testimonial
“Coming into Anchor House, I didn’t really know what to expect. I just knew I couldn’t keep living the way I was. At first, the structure was tough—but it’s exactly what I needed. Having somewhere to be every day, people holding me accountable, and guys around me going through the same thing changed everything for me.
The house itself feels like a real home. We hang out in the living room, watch TV, and the backyard is honestly one of my favorite parts—just being able to relax, grill, and actually enjoy life without substances.
This place gave me a foundation I never had before. It slowed me down, helped me get clear, and showed me what recovery can actually look like. Anchor House really did become my anchor.”
